LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY
Thanks to everyone who hung around to help flip the room at the Convention Center. We were able to get everything loaded out in record time and served the facility staff in a BIG way. A volunteer told me that as they walked through the room next door to us last week, they could tell that the Convention Center staff was listening to the message as they worked. I am so grateful to do life with people who want to be salt and light!!
THIS SUNDAY we have a very special guest, Matthew Barnett, from the Dream Center in LA. You will not want to miss this weekend!
We will be passing out invite cards this weekend again. Be sure to pick some up, pray over them, and look for the opportunities God provides to use them.

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY
THIS SUNDAY we wrap up the Revelation series, and I can not wait to see how God moves. You do not want to miss it! Just giving you a heads up that you will definitely hear about it if you aren't there.
We are having the service in Ballroom A, and KidSpring will be upstairs. Look for the parking signs and flags to direct you where to go. Load-in will happen at 4am for production and at 6am for KidSpring/Guest Services. We have a little more to set up tomorrow than we do on a regular Sunday. So, a few extra hands in the morning or some people to hang around after the 11:15am service would be GREAT!!
CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY!!

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY
It was so amazing to see all the people standing at the end of the service, acknowledging the fact of a "Next Step" that they needed to take. For a couple of weeks now I have been praying for one guy in particular and to see him stand at the end of the second service made my month!
THIS SUNDAY is the second to last week in the Revelation series. Come expecting more from these last two Sundays then all the previous ones combined!
We are in Exhibit Hall B this week and KidSping will be right above us upstairs. Load-in will happen at 4am. The temperatures are much cooler so you will probably not even sweat! Most of the time we are done by 5:30am. So, you can come and be home in time for breakfast or a quick nap before the 9:15 or 11:15 service.
DON'T FORGET!!! Wear your favorite football team colors Sunday. It will have something to do with Revelation and the message.
We have Ownership Class Sunday at 2:30pm. You can sign up here; http://www.newspring.cc/nextsteps/commit/ groups are kicking off this week, and you can sign up for those as well: https://newspring.infellowship.com/GroupSearch
The past 8 months have been some of the best I have ever lived. It is a joy and a privilege to do life with everyone at NewSpring Charleston. Let's not keep this to ourselves because people around us are searching for what we have whether they know it or not! Keep making the "Holy City" HOLY each and every day! Love you guys!
CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY!!

I am so excited to announce the launch of our groups for the fall semester. Groups launch week is starting Sunday, September 18th! NewSpring groups are an incredible way to have Christian community, learn the Bible together, serve together, and care for one another. I am praying for God to move in and through groups this semester in an awesome way and I hope that YOU will be a part of it! LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY
My wife and I had our neighbors attend for the first time last Sunday. We have been inviting them for some time and to see them both walk in last Sunday made my month!
We also had a guy confess Jesus as Savior and Lord at the 11:15am! That never gets old!!
I am so looking forward to THIS SUNDAY and the following two weeks of this series. If you have not been able to make it, I hope you can get to the Charleston Campus this Sunday. If you have been inviting someone and they haven't made it, don't give up!
This week we will be in Ballroom B and KidSpring will be upstairs. KidSpring will be in a place we have never been before so be sure to follow the signs and look for the welcome flags for your best place to enter.
CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY!!

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY
We also saw our largest number of volunteers serve last week. Thank you to everyone who makes Sunday happen. If you are not involved and you are an Owner of NewSpring Church something is not getting done. If you are not an Owner our next class is September 18th at 2:30pm. You can sign up here http://www.newspring.cc/nextsteps/commit/
THIS SUNDAY we will continue the REVELATION series and as Perry tweeted earlier today, "Can't WAIT for tomorrow as we talk about 'Sex In The Church Part Two!' Expecting/praying for salvation and freedom! BRING somebody!"
We will be in the PAC(Performing Arts Center)tomorrow. If you do not have kids the entrance off of Montague will get you to the closest parking.
Load-in is happening at 4am! Come join us if you would like. You will be home and back in bed by 6am!! Then you can come to the service, having already served. Load-out will happen immediately following the 11:15 service.
CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY!!

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY
At all campuses we saw an incredible work done by the Holy Spirit. By the end of the day we saw 490 people come forward to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior! In Charleston we had 20 people come forward and 1 person get saved Sunday afternoon at Ownership class. That brings us to almost 150 decisions for Christ in our first seven months. That blows my mind! Thank you to everyone who stepped up and invited someone to church on Sunday. If the person you invited didn't come, DON'T GIVE UP! God never gave up on you!
THIS SUNDAY let's do the same thing we did last Sunday. My prayer is that what we saw last Sunday would never get old to us, but at the same time it would be "normal" for us to invite like we did last week!
Load-in is happening at 4am and we would love to have you join us. If you have time after the 11:15 service, please hang around for load-out.
This Sunday we are in Ballroom A & B! I look forward to the day where we need ALL three Ballrooms. We are making the "Holy City" truly holy one Sunday and life at a time!
CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY!!

Serve One / Attend One
Since there is always room for improvement, we are going to intentionally make a shift on our campus. In order to be able to serve the people attending our campus better as well as improve the spiritual health of those serving, I would like for our volunteers to begin to "SEVER ONE/ATTEND ONE"! For one service we are there to corporately worship and ask God to speak to us personally. For the other, our mindset is all about serving. I want you to buy into the core value that SAVED PEOPLE SERVE PEOPLE and we will have an opportunity for you to serve with whatever time you have available. However, a majority of our volunteers will have to SERVE ONE/ATTEND ONE in order to accommodate for our continued growth. By committing to this on Sunday mornings, it will help you to get the full experience of our worship service. It will also allow people who are attending the service to get the full experience of being served instead of having the majority of our volunteers already in the service.
Please begin to let us know if you are available to SERVE ONE/ATTEND ONE as soon as possible. This is going to help us in refining our Guest Services and in fully carrying out those volunteer responsibilities. I am excited for the community that this will create in our volunteer teams as well.

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY
Sunday was a BIG day in the attendance category for us. We broke our launch Sunday attendance with 612 people. I celebrate that because each number represents a soul with eternity at stake!! However, God is not just GREAT and AMAZING because we had 612 people. He was GREAT and AMAZING before last Sunday and will continue to be so, no matter what. He is GREAT and AMAZING for just who He is and not only what He does! I don't know about you, but I've learned the hard way to remember that!!
THIS SUNDAY is going to be our BEST one yet! I'm not just saying that; I am believing that and I need you you to believe and pray that also. We have been praying and asking God who we need to invite and for Him to do what He wants to do this weekend. I am asking that we see 800 people show up to our Campus and that He would bring 80 people from death to life! That will not happen if we are not inviting people we know who need to know Jesus. I am praying specifically for my neighbors to come this weekend. We have invited them to church before, but we are not giving up. I am also praying for Sue who waited on me at a restaurant earlier this week. I invited her and I'm praying that she makes it.
There is still time. Who are you inviting?
We are meeting in Ballroom B and part of Ballroom C. Load-in will be at 4am. You should join us! We really do have a great time and for the last few weeks we've been done by 5:30am. So, you could still get home and catch a nap before church starts. If you can't come early, hang around after the 11:15 service to help load-out!
Ownership Class is also this Sunday at 2:30pm at the office. (2093 Executive Hall Road, Charleston, SC 29407.) If you want to know more about the church or are interested in joining, Ownership Class is where that can happen. See you there!

"To say that this past Sunday’s service was awesome would simply be an understatement. I’ve honestly never seen so many people respond to an invitation like our church did this past weekend. The challenge to confess and repent of sin was so compelling that we actually had a guy in Charleston who watched the service online and literally became so overwhelmed with conviction that he got in his car and drove up to where we have church in Charleston and met with our campus pastor! I absolutely LOVE what Jesus is doing in our church right now!"
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24
THIS SUNDAY it is Mother's Day!! We will honor the moms in attendance and will have a place for you to take pictures with your kids before and after services.

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY
- Perry had an incredible message from Genesis 3 about the Easter story. You can check it out here... http://www.newspring.cc/series/more/i-want-more-than-ive-got-right-now/
- I am so happy to have a Pastor who listens to God and then is willing to do what He says!
- We saw 35 people stand and confess Jesus as Lord of their lives on Sunday.
- That is 91 salvations in 17 weeks as a church!
- I asked and prayed that God would bring 1000 people to our church last weekend. I asked that, hoping that our 434 people who have been attending services on average, would each bring at least one person with them. Now, I know that adds up to 868. However, we are in a series based off of Ephesians 3:20 aren't we? You guys did an amazing job of reaching out to your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. We saw our largest attendance as a church and had 793 people show up to church last weekend. I am so proud that we buy into the fact that found people find people.
- One of my favorite things from the Easter weekend is the story of Matthew Parker. He was saved at the Charleston campus on February 20th, baptized on March 6th, and attended an Ownership class a couple of weeks later. He is now volunteering in KidSpring. Sunday he invited a coworker to the 11:15 service and his friend and coworker stood to receive Christ! That gets me so excited and is why WE DO WHAT WE DO!!!!!

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SATURDAY & SUNDAY
I am SO thankful that God is a God of second chances. As we talked about Sunday Mark quit, he walked away…but Barnabas believed in him enough to not just pray for him…but to pursue him and bring him back to the faith. AND…God used Mark in an incredible way…and his impact is even being felt across the world even today (as we have the Gospel of Mark!) Who needs you to be Barnabas for them today? Who needs someone to step into their lives and TELL THEM that God wants them to come home? (See Luke 15:11-32)"
You can checkout the entire post here... http://www.perrynoble.com/2011/04/19/a-letter-from-pastor-p-to-newspring-church-22/
THIS SATURDAY & SUNDAY we are celebrating our RISEN Saviour. We have spent the last three weeks encouraging you to not just invite your lost friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family but to BRING them.
We have been a church for 16 weeks now and what God has done is AMAZING. I am so grateful to GET TO do what I do. I am also so thankful for all of you that He has blessed me to do it with. Our campus has averaged 434 people and we have seen 56 salvations over the past 16 weeks. In praying for Easter I thought, "what if the people coming did what we asked?" That would result in 868 people at our Easter services.
Most people who would say "no" to an invitation to church any other time, will come at Easter and Christmas. It's also been proven that most just need to be asked and they will come. With that in mind and a challenge from Perry to not pray any weak prayers, I have asked God to make our people obedient and that we would see 1000 people at our Easter services and 56 more salvations.
We have just a couple more days...WHO ARE YOU BRINGING?
Service Times: Saturday 6pm and Sunday 9:15 and 11:15
We are loading in Saturday at 1pm. Join us if you are available to help. If you are coming to the 11:15am and don't have plans after, please stick around for a few minutes and load out with us.
CAN'T WAIT FOR SATURDAY & SUNDAY!!

Guest Post: Brendan Mendenhall
Hey everyone, I’m Brendan Mendenhall and I am so excited to serve as the Charleston Campus Discipleship Director. A little about myself: I was born and raised in Annapolis, MD. In high school I met my soon-to-be wife Lauren and we began dating my senior year. When I graduated from high school I went to a local community college then later transferred to Clemson University (Go Tigers!). My junior year of college I began visiting NewSpring in Anderson, SC.
I graduated Clemson with a BS in Accounting and soon relocated to Charleston to take a job at a local accounting firm. A few months after I graduated from CU I married my high school sweetheart, Lauren. As soon as NewSpring came to Charleston, we were all in. I’ve always loved seeing people do life together, so I stepped into a volunteer role organizing groups at NewSpring Charleston. It was in that place of service that I found my passion for discipleship.
In April I came on staff at NewSpring Church as the Discipleship Director for the Charleston campus. It’s an honor to serve here and I’m excited to see what God does here in the city of Charleston!

"We are having a night of worship THIS WEEK at every campus where we will get together as a body and beg God to do an amazing work on Easter, sing to Him in full confidence that He is going to do an undeniable work among us and learn from the Scriptures how we can continually be confident in going out and reaching people who are far from Him. Listed below are the night of worship times for each campus==DO NOT MISS IT! (There will be childcare at each campus for children ages four and under…children five and older are welcome to attend this event.)"
When: April 17th at 6pm
Where: PAC (Performing Arts Center)
I cannot wait for this event. Plan to worship with us in Charleston as we prepare for what God is going to do through our Easter services. I spoke with a local pastor here in Charleston yesterday. His church does not have a Sunday evening worship service. So, I invited him to come along with anyone from his church that would like to lift up their Easter services as well. Our prayer is that God moves in the hearts of lost people. PERIOD! If you or your church does not meet on Sunday nights, join us as we beg God to do what only He can!

- Without a doubt the highlight of the entire trip was preaching in the village of Tu Tu and leading a man to Christ after the service . I'll never forget the moment my interpreter told me that the man who had walked down to the front of the church was ready to give his life to Jesus!
- I will also never forget the herd of goats that came by to bahhh and heckle me as I preached.
- Going inside a "home" in the village was quite an experience. I was amazed to see how tiny their homes are. It was an experience!
- Meeting people from the other NewSpring Campuses and forming quick bonds was pleasantly surprising to me. We had a great time together, and I can't wait for them to visit me in Charleston!!
- Second to leading someone to Christ was seeing all that we've been able to do in Kenya in such a short time. It is amazing to see how God has used us there! I gained a better understanding of 410 Bridge, why they exist, and our partnership with them.
- Riding in the BIGGEST lime green Mercedes was pretty stinkin' awesome. (pic below)
- About the second day in Kenya, the kids became comfortable with me. It was interesting to see that they wanted to touch and feel my skin and the hair on my arms.
- The first day and a half I helped dig holes and build a platform for the Ereri Primary School's water tanks. I do not ever want to have to mix concrete again, especially not "Kenya Concrete." Next time I'm packing some Quick Crete - just add water! WOW! That was hard work!!
- The rest of the time I got to help the dentist which was an experience. I saw lots of tooth extractions. (I was corrected from saying we were "yanking" teeth out). I even saw a couple of people who had teeth growing out of the roof of their mouth, not to mention the LARGEST wisdom tooth I have ever seen. I haven't seen any until this trip, but on this trip I saw quiet a few!
- It was heart-warming to see some of the people on our trip who have been before get to meet the kids they sponsor through http://www.brightpointforchildren.org/
- We saw a CHEETAH!
- On the last night in Kenya, I stayed in the nicest tent EVER!

I'm Going to Africa
In two days I will be leaving with the March team that is going to Kenya from NewSpring! I can't wait and can't believe it. My overwhelming thought in preparing for my trip to Kenya is for God to show me why I'm going. I know there will be a great personal take-away. I've been told over and over "It will rock my world" or "It will change my life." I'm sure it will!

OPEN OFFICE
Three weeks ago NewSpring Charleston moved into an office location. As you would do with an Open House, we are hosting an “Open Office” next Monday, February 28th from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. We would love for you to drop-in to tour the office and hang out for as little or as long as you like. We will have refreshments available for your enjoyment.
This is an opportunity for you to meet the staff and other NewSpring Charleston attenders/owners, as well as give us a chance to meet you or get to know you better. By hosting this Open Office, it is our hope that you will now know the location of the office so that if you ever need to stop by in the future, you can. It will also make you familiar with the location in case you would like to help serve as a daytime volunteer throughout the week at the office.
NewSpring Charleston Office
2093 Executive Hall Rd.
Charleston, SC 29407
Look forward to seeing you on Monday! No office-warming gifts needed!
