FROM KENYA!!

I was able to jump on a computer for a few minutes so, "Hello from Kenya." This trip is going great, and we have seen God do some amazing things. I will post more details when I get back, but I wanted to share what happened here on Sunday. I was privileged to get the opportunity to preach on Sunday in the village of Tu Tu. At the end of the message we prayed over the church and the leaders of the church. After the prayer an older African man came to the front; my interpreter, Alfred, informed me that he wanted to accept Christ. So, right there in Africa in the "portable" church (Kenya-style), I got to lead a man to Christ! WOW! That never gets old!!

I hope church was amazing Sunday! Don't forget every campus has had their highest attendance while the Campus Pastor was in Kenya. Don't let me down! Let's keep this a trend. Who are you bringing and inviting this Sunday?

This past Sunday was incredible as we continued the "Upgrade" series! Perry taught that God's way for me to be successful is simply to read my Bible and do what it says. Two of my favorite quotes from the message were, "You can be as close to God as YOU want to be." and "God is after your heart, not your behavior." I hope you are joining me in the 21 day reading challenge. It is always such an amazing experience to read the same passages of Scripture as others and see how the Lord speaks to us individually through His Word! It is not too late for you to participate. I hope you had a chance to read Andy's post from Africa earlier this week. He had the incredible privilege of preaching in Kenya on Sunday and leading a man to Christ after the service there. Here in Charleston, we had 4 people join that man in securing their eternal salvation! Praise Jesus for reaching souls around the world!!!

Speaking of the broader vision of reaching souls, if you did not get a chance to give to the Japan relief, it is not too late! We at NewSpring are partnering with an organization called "Churches Helping Churches." Over $40,000 was raised in our special love offering this past Sunday. THIS SUNDAY we will continue the "Upgrade" series. Baptism will be a part of our services this week. It is always an unbelievable experience to witness people going public with their faith! If you are interested in taking this next step, please email charleston@newspring.cc

Load-in will begin at 4 a.m. on Sunday morning. If your next step is to volunteer in this capacity, please join us in getting things set up for the life-change that happens each and every Sunday! If load-in is not workable for you, but you could help load-out, we would love to have you join us in this area! Thank you to everyone who is already serving in your area of giftedness to make Sundays happen! Andy and I are amazed by each and every one of you!!!

Make sure to invite your friends and be sure they come to church with you this Sunday! Remember that Andy has challenged us to continue the trend for when the campus pastor is in Kenya by having our largest attendance to date.

Our next Ownership class will be March 31st at 6:30pm. Dinner and childcare will be provided. We will begin as soon as every RSVP arrives or at 7pm. It will be held at the NewSpring Charleston Office at 2093 Executive Hall Road, Charleston, SC 29407.
