LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY

LAST SUNDAY

I've only got two things to say...

1. We finished the Make War series and it was the best series we have ever had in Charleston!! (OK I know it's the only series we've had.) It was still REALLY good!!

2. We saw 21 people raise their hands and accept Christ as Lord and Saviour last Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES! I'll have to share some of the stories from Sunday in an upcoming post because it's crazy how God is working in and through the people at NewSpring Charleston in just seven weeks.

THIS SUNDAY I'll keep it to two things as well...

1. WE ARE IN THE PAC(Performing Arts Center) THIS SUNDAY! Park off Montague if you DO NOT have kids. Tell your friends, family and anyone you may have invited. We have plenty of room, so invite everyone you know!!

2. We are starting a brand new series called UPGRADE. I love how God is working! He changed the previous series and without knowing it Perry now sees how foundational Make War was for this new series. Tell your friends, family, and anyone you may have invited. We have plenty of room so invite everyone you know!! (I know I already said that!)

CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY!

OPEN OFFICE

Three weeks ago NewSpring Charleston moved into an office location. As you would do with an Open House, we are hosting an “Open Office” next Monday, February 28th from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. We would love for you to drop-in to tour the office and hang out for as little or as long as you like. We will have refreshments available for your enjoyment.

This is an opportunity for you to meet the staff and other NewSpring Charleston attenders/owners, as well as give us a chance to meet you or get to know you better. By hosting this Open Office, it is our hope that you will now know the location of the office so that if you ever need to stop by in the future, you can. It will also make you familiar with the location in case you would like to help serve as a daytime volunteer throughout the week at the office.

NewSpring Charleston Office

2093 Executive Hall Rd.

Charleston, SC 29407

Look forward to seeing you on Monday! No office-warming gifts needed!

Thanks Elevation Church!!

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY

LAST SUNDAY was another great Sunday at NewSpring Charleston. If you were not able to make it we missed you and hope to see you this Sunday. You can go to www.newspring.cc and watch what you missed. Perry talked Sunday about the one thing you and I can do to in our relationship with Christ to move it forward. He said the one thing is different for everyone. The one thing is your NEXT STEP! He then challenged us to ask what our next step is and to do it.

I have to be honest. I found myself in the first service really prayerfully hoping for people to realize THEIR next step and to take it. It was then that I felt God saying, "YOU better listen up and think about your next step also!" At that moment the weekend changed for me.

If you missed the weekend or attended the 9:15 service, you missed my challenge at the end of the 11:15 service. Since our Christmas Eve preview service I have felt God pushing me to challenge our church more, especially in the areas of evangelism and serving. So, after an incredible message like the one from Perry this past Sunday and seeing no one respond to the salvation invitation, I wanted to make sure to point out something. I wanted any lost people to know that if they needed to talk with someone I was available as well as many others who would love to speak with them. I also wanted to point out that if no one was responding because we are all saved, then we have some work to do and we need to get to work. This series has been incredible and it is too good to keep to ourselves and consume. We should be constantly looking for opportunities to give it away! Who did you invite to church this week? Did you pray and ask God to provide you the opportunity to invite someone to church? If you did neither...stop just consuming and start contributing. You are the CHURCH! "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." I Corinthians 12:27

The highlight of the weekend was seeing four guys move at the end of the service to go public with their salvation in baptism. Greg, John, Ken, and Dan: I was so proud of your boldness and obedience to your next step.

THIS SUNDAY we will conclude the MAKE WAR series. This has been an amazing series and you do not want to miss Sunday as we put a bow on it!

Don't forget about the tithe challenge for February.

Also, Sunday for the 11:15 service you will need to tell the parking attendants you are with NewSpring and you will not have to pay for parking. Please make sure you pass on this information especially to anyone you have invited.

Sunday at 2:30pm we will have an Ownership Class. This is the class for you if you want to know more about the church and are interested in joining. If you plan to attend, please read the post right after this one titled "Ownership Classes" for details.

Load in is happening at 4am, and load out will take place immediately after the service. We would love for you to help, even if you do it one Sunday a month or every other month!

I look forward to seeing you Sunday! I hope you have had a great week. Show up Sunday expecting God to speak to you.

CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY!!!

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY

LAST SUNDAY...WOW WOW WOW! What a service! The video team at our church did an amazing job last week of bringing real life to what Perry had spoke on the week before in our Make War series. If you were not able to attend and did not catch last week's service, grab some tissues and click here http://www.newspring.cc/series/make-war/ .

We had our KidSpring setup next to our adult service downstairs in one of the other ballrooms last week. It was great to have them so close to the main service and something we would love to do on a regular basis if possible. We are working at seeing if it is possible. I'll let you know, but for this week we are back upstairs in our regular location. Please pass this information on to anyone you know who has children.

We also had 3 salvations this past Sunday! I know it sounds like I am writing that as an after thought, but I wanted to save the best for last! THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO!! Lost people FOUND, Blind people SEE, and Dead people RESURRECTED! Thanks to those of you who are inviting people. Continue to invest and invite the people God brings your way. Pray each week to see the divine appointments He sets up!

THIS SUNDAY we have two more weeks in the Make War series which has been one of the best series of teaching I have ever sat through. Perry has said that this week we will learn the ONE thing we need to do to take our relationship with Christ to a level we've not experienced. He said it might be the simplest message but the hardest one to apply. I CAN'T WAIT!!

I will also have information on our next Ownership Class this Sunday and you can get signed up for that at Guest Services.

Like I mentioned above KidSpring is back upstairs this Sunday.

We are loading in on Saturday this week at 3pm. If you have some time to help, stop by Ballroom B between 3pm -5pm. If not and you attend the 11:15 service stick around for about an hour after the 11:15 service and help us load out.

I am so excited each week to see us uniting as the body of Christ to do the work He has called us to in Charleston. He is so GOOD! I am blown away each week that I get to do this. I have been asked a lot recently questions like, "How's it going?" and "Is it still fun?" I can honestly say this is the hardest job but the most fun job I've ever had.

We are a month old and we've seen over 10 people accept Christ and 20 people go public in baptism with their faith! THE BEST IS STILL YET TO COME!!

CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY!

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY

LAST SUNDAY we continued our series Make War. We looked at the question "Why do bad things happen to good people?". If you missed it, you can watch it here: http://www.newspring.cc/series/make-war/why-do-bad-things-happen-to-good-people/

It was so incredible to see people praying for those who stood at the end of the service. I was in AWE that we can be four Sundays into this and see the Body of Christ ministering to each other in that way.

I'm finding that every week as a Campus Pastor there is an element of adventure, and this past Sunday was not lacking. At 3:30 a.m. as I was leaving for the Convention Center I received a text telling me our production truck wouldn't start. Without that truck we are not able to do almost anything we do on Sundays. We started coming up with an alternate plan, but thankfully at 4:50 a.m. the truck just started. We were an hour behind our set-up schedule, but our owners who help with load-in were able to make it all happen. I am so grateful for the owners of NewSpring Church who give their lives to make Sundays happen. My prayer is that because of those who are able to be trusted with what God has given them, He will say "Well done" and expand our reach in Charleston.

If you have been attending NewSpring Charleston and are still not plugged in, it's time to stop just consuming and start contributing! Like Perry says, "If you're not serving, something is not getting done."

You do not want to miss THIS SUNDAY! I will say that again: YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS SUNDAY!!!!! We are putting some skin on what we talked about last week. We will hear some stories that teach what we learned last week. Invite someone, bring someone with you, and don't miss this Sunday.

**KidSpring will be meeting in Ballroom C this Sunday only. The parking lot off of Montague will give everyone the closest entry point to our services.

Don't let the lack of text fool you for this Sunday. I am typing very little on purpose. I want you to get one thing about this Sunday. YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS SUNDAY!!!

(Or Any Sunday)

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY!!!
