LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY

Last Sunday we got to experience the wonderful thing that is portable church! We were in a different room than we had been in for the first two weeks, and there were many events going on in all areas of the facility. There was a boat show in the exhibit hall space, a horse show in the Coliseum, and a 1100 person AME conference in the ballrooms. We were in the PAC which holds 2300 seats. That is 100 less than the Anderson campus. The building is beautiful and I would be lying if I didn't tell you that I prayed for 1000 people to show up for each service. 1000 people didn't show up, but that's o.k. We used this past weekend as an opportunity to see what could be! Eleven years ago no one sitting at Anderson University thought that a room that seats 2400 would be needed for three services either. This past weekend we asked the question how do you get to where you need that many seats? We then looked to our core values. I believe if we, the church, buy into and set our lives around those values we will need the Coliseum (Which seats around 14,000) not just the PAC to hold everyone!!

This Sunday we are back in Ballroom A and in our normal KidSpring rooms. We are also having our first baptism celebration. It is going to be an incredible day. Someone I invited a few weeks back emailed me and told me they were coming this Sunday. I also prayed last week during the welcome that God would set up divine appointments for us to live out our FOUND PEOPLE FIND PEOPLE value. I've had people tell me that that prayer has been answered. Who are you bringing? Who did you invite this week?

I cannot believe we have only been a church in Charleston for three weeks! God has done so much already! I am so grateful for the people God has assembled at NewSpring Charleston to reach and make the Holy City holy! THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY

LAST SUNDAY we had a great second week! We saw one more person get saved and move for death to life. I would love for that to happen every week, and I pray that it does! We continued our series Make War, and Perry talked about "Getting Past My Past". If you missed it you can listen to it here http://www.newspring.cc/series/make-war/ . Thank you so much to all our Owners who serve and help make Sundays happen. As Perry says in the Ownership class, "If you're not serving, something is not getting done."

THIS SUNDAY we continue the Make War series and there are some logistical details you need to know. I also need you to make sure all your friends and family who you are inviting to come know this information as well.

We are meeting in the PAC (Performing Arts Center) this week. It's right beside the Ballroom we've been meeting in.

PARKING!!
The PAC is located right off of Montague and has doors leading into it right from parking lot C. If you do not have children this is where you want to park. If you have children, the parking lot we normally use will be fenced off for the boat show. You will want to park in the Embassy parking lot if space is available or in the parking lot mentioned above.
There are four events going on at the Coliseum Convention Center this weekend so thank you ahead of time for your patience and flexibility.

**If the parking lot has an attendant taking payment for parking just tell them you are there for NewSpring Church and you will not have to pay. Please pass on this information on to the people you invite as well.

LOAD-IN
This weekend we have our first 4am load-in. You heard me right. . . 4am!! We could use any extra hands we can get to help us get things set up and ready. The past two weeks we've been able to set up on Saturdays. This is our first week setting up on a Sunday morning. If you can come, just park in the parking lot mentioned above and someone will be at the doors to let you in.

This week I am so excited for the opportunities of getting to see what could be! (The PAC holds 2,300 seats, and I look forward to the day that we can fill it!) I am also excited to hear the message Perry has for us. He seems pretty pumped about it! We live in a very unchurched city so people around us each and every day need what we have. OWNERSHIP CLASS

The Ownership Classes on Monday and Tuesday will be from 6:30-9:30 pm. Dinner will be provided, therefore an RSVP will be greatly appreciated so we can make sure we have enough food for everyone! The class itself will begin at 7:00 pm or as soon as everyone who has confirmed arrives. The locations are as follows;

Load-in/Load-out

This weekend we are able to set up on Saturday again. We want to take advantage of this time to train some of you on how things come together and come apart.

If you have an interest in serving on the load-in team on Sunday mornings or if you can hang out after the 11:15 service on Sundays to serve with load-out, please come tomorrow for training. We will be training from 11:00am - 6:30pm. You don't need to come for the entire time but any time you could come would help. From 11:00 - 12:00 we are just going to be unloading the truck.

If you can't come tomorrow, it doesn't mean you can't serve in these areas. This Sunday we will have a 5am call time for the load-in team and after the 11:15 service we will start breaking down and loading out.

THIS SUNDAY

This has been the longest week of my life...

Coming off the high of last Sunday, this week seems to be going at a snail's pace getting to this Sunday. Sunday can not get here soon enough!! I love my church!!

This coming Sunday we will continue the Make War series. I hope if you were with us this past week you are taking advantage of the opportunity to talk about and share the experience with someone. My prayer this week has been that our excitement from this past Sunday would pour out onto the people around us and that they would have to come see what has made us so excited. If that is not where you're at, I'm not sure you were really there this past week or you might need Jesus! FOUND PEOPLE FIND PEOPLE.

We have many opportunities for you to serve this Sunday which I'll post in a smaller post tomorrow. If you are waiting on joining so you can volunteer and serve, I will have details about the next Ownership Class tomorrow on the blog and at church this Sunday as well. SAVED PEOPLE SERVE PEOPLE.

We will also have a meeting this coming week for those of you interested in leading a group. Trevor Cox, our Central Discipleship Director, will be coming down to help train and give group leaders details for how we are going to launch Groups in Charleston. YOU CAN'T DO LIFE ALONE.

We have so much to be thankful for! Praise God! The best is yet to come!!

LAST SUNDAY

WHERE TO BEGIN...

THANK-YOU NEWSPRING OWNERS!!!!
You guys have been so fun to get to know, and I am so happy we are on this journey together. I was so thrilled by the excitement, joy, and even tears on your faces Sunday. We saw God answer our Ephesians 3:20 prayer! So be sure to give Him the glory. Thanks for the time and effort you guys put in to make it happen. I am so excited that we get to do this every week.

Special thanks to all of our Owners from other campuses that came down as well. You guys helped raise the level on Sunday and no one can say multi-site doesn't work!! You guys proved that for sure. Thanks!

If you haven't joined NewSpring Charleston or plugged into a volunteer opportunity, get on it and join the ride.

OUR LAUNCH
We saw 603 people attend our first service! That is not normal!!! To whom much is given, much is required!! (I'll blog more about that in a post later this week for THIS SUNDAY.) We had 6 people get saved and 66 kids in KidSpring.

I am blown away by what God is doing and pray He will continue to work here in Charleston. My prayer is that we will get to see life change happen each and every week. It happened "daily" in Acts.

I am also so very grateful for all the prayer support that covered us on Sunday. I can say I have never felt prayed for more in my entire life than I did last week. Please don't stop; God knows I need the prayers!!

My Prayer for Tomorrow!

Prayer Warriors

I would like to cover the facility in prayer before Sunday morning's first service. If you would like to come pray for our services, over each chair, the KidSpring rooms, Perry, volunteers, and anything else, please join us.

We will meet outside Ballroom A at 7:45a.m.

The reason for meeting so early is so that if you want to pray with us, you can still be available to bring someone you have invited or to volunteer in the area in which you have committed to volunteer.

Sunday is going to be amazing! You still have time to invite someone!!!!

Friday and Saturday

Friday at 10am we are setting up the stage for NewSpring Charleston. If you are available please come to the Convention Center at 10am. If you want to drop in on your lunch break you can as well.

Saturday at 12pm we are loading everything else in to the Convention Center. We will be able to set up the auditorium and KidSpring on Saturday this week. Join us at noon on Saturday!

This weekend is going to be AMAZING!

LAST SUNDAY/ THIS SUNDAY

This past Sunday we wrapped up our last "Preview Service". This time leading up to our LAUNCH this Sunday has flown by! Thanks to everyone who has jumped on board and taken hold of the volunteer opportunities. God has a place for you that will help us make the most impact in our city. I don't have much to talk about from this past weekend, not because there is nothing to talk about but because I can't think about anything other than what I want to say for THIS SUNDAY!

This Sunday we launch the Charleston Campus!!!!

Please pray for this Sunday.
*Pray for who God wants you to bring. INVEST and INVITE.
*Pray for where God wants you to serve and get involved (if you're not already serving).
*Pray for us to know and follow the plans and direction God has laid out for us.

From 26
Take Exit 213 onto Montague. Go West on Montague and turn Right onto International Blvd. From there, follow the signs and parkers.

From 526
Take Exit 16 onto International Blvd. Go East on International Blvd and from there follow the signs and parkers.

If you DO NOT have Children you are going to want to park in parking lot C.
From 26
Take Exit 213 onto Montague. Go West from there, and follow the signs and the parkers. The entrance to the parking lot will be on you right.

From 526
Take Exit 16. Go East on Montague. From there, follow the signs and the parkers. The entrance to the parking lot will be on your left.




In Isaiah 52 it says, "the Lord will go before you." It's our job to follow and give Him all the glory. I am clinging to this verse this week!

I Heart My Church




I have changed my profile pictures on facebook, twitter and the blog to the "I Heart My Church" picture. If you are an owner with NewSpring Charleston I am asking that you do the same. Post a picture of you wearing your shirt somewhere in Charleston or just the logo itself. My hope is that people will see it and ask questions that can lead to invitations for our launch on January 9th.

We could put up billboards, send out mailers, have a TV comercial, put something in the newspaper, or use other creative marketing ideas; however, your personal conversation and invitation will always be the most effective form of marketing and promotion!

Let's take advantage of the social media outlets at our disposal and use them to invest in and invite the 84% of people who are unchurched in Charleston!!

January 9th is this week. . .let's get to work!!!
